Q. What equipment do I need to run Extend broadband wireless?

It takes two small pieces of equipment to run broadband wireless services on Extend. These need to installed by an approved installer:

  • An antenna fixed to the outside of the building
  • A small unit near the computer

Q. What are the options with Wi-Fi?

  • Wi-Fi provides the ability to provide wireless LAN capability
  • There is no need to rewire to receive Extend throughout your home or office
  • Wi-Fi can provide roaming within the Wi-Fi coverage area
  • Wi-Fi can extend the service to outlying buildings/hard to reach locations

Q. Where can I buy Extend?

You can only buy Extend through one of these internet service providers. They'll be able to answer all your questions and get you up and running on the Kordia™ network.

Please note, some ISPs offer Kordia™'s broadband services under their own name or brand. So this service may not be referred to as ‘Extend’.

Q. Can I get voice services over Extend?

Extend provides the retail service provider with the ability to deliver high quality voice services over your broadband connection.

This uses the latest Voice over IP technology. Please check with your internet service provider.

Q. What happens if I am not in the Extend coverage area?
