Extend Network

Extend Network

Our Extend network gives our retail service providers the opportunity to deliver high speed data and voice services to their customers.

How Extend Works

End users are provided with a wireless digital subscriber line (DSL). This wireless DSL has capabilities similar to a wired DSL solution.

Our retail customers can offer the same value added services and applications to their end users via wireless links or a cable system.

Kordia™ provides initial network access solutions at up to 1Mbps, with great throughput. Capacity for faster speeds is also available.

Line of sight radio transmission

The Extend network uses 'Line-of-sight' (LOS) radio transmission which:

  • Runs between end user premises and local high sites
  • Has a path length of around 50 kilometres

High speed voice and data services for rural NZ

The Extend network gives telecommunication companies the opportunity to provide rural and provincial New Zealanders—who currently can't access cable-based broadband—with high speed voice and data services.
