Kordia’s Enterprise Services team came up against floods and wild storms as it completed a strong nationwide Internet Protocol (IP) network for its new customer: Tonga Communications Corporation.
Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC) was experiencing a considerable quantity of customer dissatisfaction due to severe outages and instability across its network.
In order to get to the cause of its network troubles, TCC engaged Kordia Private Networks’ services to provide a comprehensive examination of Tonga’s National Network.
After identifying key issues and risks in TCC’s infrastructure, Kordia produced a tailored solution to help address potential single point failures and bottlenecks throughout the existing network.
Kordia allowed TCC to customise its network by designing a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) platform. This allowed them to provide multiple IP VPN services to multiple clients at once, without risks to the network.
The MPLS infrastructure also lays the foundation for TCC to offer its customer base value-added services, such as IPVoice, QoS and IPTV services in the future.
“This lays the foundation for a good, long-term relationship with TCC and signals great potential for Kordia in the supply of IP Telephony and IPTV solutions,” said Kordia’s Enterprise Services General Manager Fedele Galluzzo.
The new and improved network delivers data services to both the Tongan population and their businesses. Kordia’s solution was embraced by TCC’s customers both corporate and retail. It has provided the telecommunications company a real competitive edge in the industry.
